Been messing around with a variety of headlines and debating upon what stories to make up and or tell but haven’t come to a firm conclusion yet.
Might not know whether it is about things that happened at BJ’s, stories about movies like Walk The Line and The Notebook or politics until we reach the end.
Do I want to tell you about the unhinged and dishonest memes and posts the cult of the convicted felon is posting. Is it worth wasting your time talking about the idiocy of those who try to lie about non existent “election fraud” or “stolen nominations.”
I have seen pathetic attempts to score points with both which make me shake my head. Not just because not a single court case found evidence nor because of the nonsensical remarks about a stolen nomination.
Nonsensical because none are based upon fact any only make the person pushing them look more foolish than we already knew they were. Two things jump out at me about these defenders of democracy.
1) They don’t care about democracy because they support a 2x impeached loser who doesn’t believe in it and his partner. A loser who spent years criticizing the felon and then suddenly changed his mind because his billionaire backers told him it was time for a new opinion.
No surprise, he changes his name like he changes underwear, there is no integrity and no relevant experience or accomplishments for him to take on the role he aspires to.
2) Sometimes the cult members pretend they’ll engage in dialogue but their idea is similar to an old Jewish saying. “The antisemite does not accuse the Jew of stealing because he thinks he stole something. He does it because he enjoys watching the Jew turn out his pockets to prove his innocence. “
The cult member has no interest in facts that disagree with their political narrative. They only wish to see the other side empty their pockets so they can claim to have been noble even when dishonesty is all they are interested in.
Ask The Right Questions
I wrote about good questions last night and how I appreciate listening to people who interest me ask questions. It helps illuminate how they thing and approach life.
It can also be fascinating to watch what questions they engage in when they are engaged in problem solving. Sometimes you can learn some tricks you ought to add to your own repertoire and reap the benefits from doing so.
Many people don’t understand or recognize the benefits of asking good questions. They don’t understand there are a variety of types of questions. They focus on the yes or no not realizing they can ask something more open ended.
They can ask strategic questions and build off of that.
But even if you know to avoid the ones that lead to a yes or no sometimes you still can miss the boat with what you do ask.
Curiosity can take you so many places you might not ever visit especially when it is matched to imagination.
Step Out Of Your Comfort Zone & Echo Chamber
I blew things up in a big way today and caused chaos or so I was told. I smiled and asked them to step out of their comfort zone and to stop living in an echo chamber.
They suggested I take my own advice and I asked them if I had unleashed chaos if I was really living inside a comfort zone.
Eventually they conceded that I wasn’t living in my comfort zone but insisted I was living an echo chamber because I refused to agree with them.
So I spent the next 10 minutes arguing their side and was accused of being insufferable. Might be fair, might not be.
I told them once you love a Taurus your life is never the same and you have to submit to only thinking you are the boss.
Shortly thereafter they asked if my intent had been to distract them from having blown things up and I laughed.
“It worked, didn’t it.”
There was a long pause followed by something that starts with an f and ends with a ck.
“That thing I blew up isn’t blown up like you thought it was, is it.”
“No, it is not. You’re lucky.”
I laughed and said it wasn’t luck.
“I asked the right questions and that led to the right conclusion.”
Editor’s Note: I didn’t know for certain it would work, but I had a strong feeling it would. Remember, I operate off of gut feeling and experience. It could have gone the other way and I would have just muscled it into place.
Was glad not to have to do that.
