What If The Fools Of Elonia Live In Chelm

Wrote the words below on a post on Threads that was a mix of anger, disappointment and sadness.

Shed more followers, including some MAGA supporters who left because I called out their morally bankrupt position.
I don’t care if you’re MOT. Values are important.
It’s not Purim you should be able to distinguish between Mordechai and Haman.

It came after I answered my own question where the fools of Elonia live because clearly it is Chelm.

In Jewish folklore the city of Chelm is a place where the citizens are sarcastically known as wise men and are famous for exploits such as trying to capture the moon in a barrel of water.

The genesis of this brainstorm came after I read a couple of posts from fellow members of the tribe who argued that a billionaire deep state scam artist and his incel minions have discovered corruption in highest levels of government.

They blindly accepted the word of a man who works with little to no oversight for the first felon to sit in the Oval Office. They ignore the conflict of interest that comes from a man who has billions in government contracts and who bought his role by donating almost $300 million to the felon’s campaign war chest.

Many of those same supporters would be apoplectic if the same role had been given to fellow billionaire George Soros. But they ignore the hypocrisy of their positions because the unelected deep state bureaucrat who gave several nazi salutes, supports a far right German political party and tried to troll Jews with a tweet mentioning famous nazis fights for their side.

Mind you these wise men from Chelm who operate as if they are certain cutting medical research into health, hamstringing departments that helped fund US political soft power and various other things such as NOAA can’t hurt them.

Some of them have called me names and suggested I am not dealing in reality because no one should be concerned about a reduction in support of medical research. I don’t think I am the only person who has relatives who died from breast and or pancreatic cancer or who would be pleased if cures were found because of their general impact on humanity.

I suppose I don’t need to be as concerned about the cost cutting measures impact upon NOAA because I don’t live in place that gets hurricanes. Besides if I fall in line with current GOP thinking anything bad that happens is a result of personal choices.

Live in a place that gets hurricanes and you deserve what you get. If you get a terminal illness it is either because of your own actions or because god hates you for being a sinner.

Right, it is something like that. We ought not help people. We ought not do anything to help educate them or positively impact their health.

That rising tide lifts all ships thing is for suckers and losers. We wouldn’t want to be one of them which is why we need to denigrate, demean and attack all who disagree with us.

I may be slow coming up to speed, but I get there.

It Is A Question of Values

I haven’t just lost followers recently, no ma’am and no sir. I have lost friends.

Why?

Because I take no prisoners in pointing out the hypocrisy and inconsistency of the fools of Elonia and supporters of the felon.

Some of them call me rude, uncouth and unkind with no sense of how silly it is to say such things when their cult leader lives on insulting those who disagree with him.

It is a question of values and if you support those who attack democracy you are not going to find me easy to deal with.

I understand some of my fellow tribesmen who think the current occupant of the oval is a better friend.

They take a short term view of his actions and apply it in ways I refuse. I look at promises to have had all of the hostages released by his inauguration and see it didn’t happen.

I look the Tree of Life and Chabad Poway synagogue shootings during his first administration and the March on Charlottesville in which they chanted “Jews will not replace us.”

I see a track record of incompetence tied to those items and the complete mishandling of the pandemic.

So when people ask me about executive orders to stop antisemitism and to deport foreign students who foment Jew hate I nod my head.

It would be great if they work and they help us. It would be better if legislation was passed because executive orders are just paper.

Paper that can be torn up and replaced with the stroke of a pen by the next office holder. Granted next office holder suggests that perhaps there is hope that a man who is attacking democracy won’t succeed and there will be a 48th president.

Ideally one who won’t go after EOs that protect Jews, but you never know. They could do it because they actually hate us or they could do it because they think it is too broad in its structure.

Doesn’t matter to me so much whether they do it with good or ill in their heart, the point is they could because the current office holder is a weak leader who cannot get legislation passed.

That is a sad commentary because they have Congress and the Executive but look back at the first go around and the same situation existed.

Look at how little legislation was passed and how many excuses were made. The lack of accountability is sad but predictable.

It is why you see the fools of Elonia refuse to engage in basic fact checking. It is why they refuse to engage in logical thought or critical reasoning because to do so would force them to acknowledge they might have erred in supporting the felon and his deep state bureaucrat.

Given their fawning of the guy in the oval it is clear they learned to never admit making a mistake and to never apologize even when people are getting hurt as they are today.
